Pink Floyd Pompeii Exhibition – At The Pompeii Amphitheatre
The Pink Floyd Pompeii Exhibition originally opened in Pompeii’s Town Hall from July 4th to 31st 2015. However, to coincide with David Gilmour’s recent shows at Pompeii, it has now opened (for a few months) in the underground passages of the Roman Amphitheatre of Pompeii. (where David’s shows were held and the 1971 movie was shot).
The exhibition, curated by the ‘Live At Pompeii’ (1971) movie director Adrian Maben, features over 250 photos and original memorabilia and also includes footage, (discovered by Maben a few years ago), including outtakes, interviews, smoke rings & party tricks, beer, oysters and all. (Known as Chit Chat with Oysters).
A number of fans have sent in some pictures of the exhibition (and a surprise) and you can view them at Pink Floyd Pompeii Exhibition – At The Pompeii Amphitheatre
We said we wouldn’t publish any David Gilmour ‘spoilers’ in the main news section, but this short video clip need to be seen (and heard) by ALL Pink Floyd Fans!
And if you haven’t checked out our David Gilmour dedicated Pompeii Section (for the show on 8th July) you really should, as it is something to behold!
