A Fleeting Glimpse Competition : Win A Signed Copy Of John Clark & Harry Waters ‘Sea Oddity’ Album
Last month we announced the release of Harry Waters & John Clark’s ‘Sea Oddity‘ album.
Sea Oddity, a collaboration from artists John Clark and Harry Waters (the latter being the son of Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters).
The album’s dark mystique draws influence from psychedelic folk of the late ’60s and early ’70s, while also serving as a “concept album of sorts,” involving an alien invasion. The captivating opener “It’s Not My Story to Tell” combines psych-friendly guitar tones with gentle piano, casting a spacey and capricious appeal in leading to the dreamier rock yearning of “Weathered.” Following, “Missouri Air” is a great showcase of the act’s versatile songwriting, evolving from serene psych-folk into a soaring rock sound. “Of You I Dream” is another standout, haunting thoroughly with its trickling guitars and emotive vocal culmination just prior to the two-minute mark.
The album was produced by Freddy Para, who also performs on a guest musician on most tracks. Session work also comes from Eric Slick, Erik Ferguson, Johnnie David, Cali Moon Clark, and Nick Stanford.
