David and the band had an incredible final night at the Royal Albert Hall, reports were they played beautifully. They played the same setlist as the night before, featuring the new addition “A Single Spark,” which now rounds out the new album, Luck and Strange. This concert wraps up the UK and Europe tour, next stop LA next Friday! Below are some show thoughts thanks to our forum members:
“Back from the last show. Same setlist as yesterday so including A Single Spark. A few funny moments, for instance when Romany “saved” David who was deeply concentrating on his slide guitar during High Hopes when a beach ball came for him. Highlights for me were GGITS and A Boat Lies Waiting. Before the last notes of Scattered died, everyone (including me) rushed to the front for the encore. This year there is a border between the podium and the front row preventing people from getting too close to the podium or blocking peoples view on the first row. That wasn’t there in 2016 when for the first time I got really close to a Floyd Member. Overall lots of smiles on the stage between David, Romany, and the band members. I can’t remember that I ever saw David so happy during a tour. I might be wrong but I think there is more to come. Lucky us.” – thanks to mc9
“Waking up this morning from last night’s RAH. Jesus Christ the difference between Brighton and last night is on another planet. I’m SO glad I managed to snag an extortionately priced ticket. And we got all the tracks from Luck & Strange!
Oh, and to all those people shouting “we love David!” and “play something by Roger!” You’re all wankers!
Other than that it was a phenomenal night!! Well done to David et al
Here’s hoping for more shows in 2025. In the David interview in the programme he says “we’ll see.”
