On the 2023 Summer Echoes Tour the Saucers played their first night in Italy, the prior night was to be played at Vicenza but was cancelled due to an incoming storm before they were to hit the stage and the show was cancelled for the safety concerns of the audience and the band/crew. The Saucers took the stage at the Piazza Grande which is the main square in Palmanova and provided a really unique setting for the show! We’re happy to share that not one but TWO photographers are letting us show their collections! Below are the collections with the respective credits to the photographers and links to their socials. HUGE thank you to them for letting us share their amazing photos!

Piazza Grande is the main square of Palmanova, the fulcrum of city life, the heart of the historic center and the fortress. Built by the Venetians in the seventeenth century, it was called Piazza d’Armi because in it the garrisons gathered for military exercises. Hexagonal in shape, it has in the center a base in Istrian stone from which rises an imposing flagpole, commonly called a banner, symbol of the fortress itself. This square overlooks the most important historic Venetian buildings, marked by austere military architecture, such as the Duomo Dogale, the Palazzo del Provveditore Generale, the Loggia della Gran Guardia, the Palazzo del Monte di Pietà and the Palazzo del Governoatore delle Armi. It is interesting to observe how all the radial roads depart and converge at the heart of the fortress, enhancing the close connection between the urban layout and the fortifications. The square is surrounded by eleven statues representing some of the general providers of the fortress.
