July Edition Of The UK’s Total Guitar Magazine Features Special On David Gilmour
The UK musicians’ magazine Total Guitar has just announced their July 2022 issue, which is largely dedicated to the guitar work of Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour.
This upcoming new edition traces David Gilmour’s evolution as a guitarist through 20 Pink Floyd songs, starting from “The Nile Song” in 1969 to this year’s “Hey Hey, Rise Up” release.
This article also features comments from Kirk Hammett, Matt Bellamy, Derek Trucks, and more—who were eager to talk about their favourite Floyd songs and how they were influenced by Gilmour’s way of playing.
As an added bonus, breaking down the creative studio process is an exclusive interview with Pink Floyd producer Bob Ezrin, and David Gilmour is quoted telling the story of his life in the band in his own words.
For the budding new Gilmourian guitar player, this edition features eight pages of David’s playing style lessons.
The issue is due to be released on the 30th June 2022 in all major UK magazine retailers and worldwide ordering information can be found at https://www.magazinesdirect.com/
